It's so liberating to look at the (albeit small) amount of money left in my account and think, "Hey, this has nowhere else it needs to stretch!" Especially when there's food in the house. Not much gas in the car, though.

Things are going well in our neck of the woods. My apartment is a complete and total pigsty because school and work have sort of overtaken me as well as Meridan. And that cold I had at the beginning of the quarter really set me back. I think I'm okay at the moment, though. Ari will be over this weekend, and I'll try to use him for free labor.

My math conference last weekend was AMAZING. I don't know why I always portray myself as someone who's bad at math - I'm really not. I'm not a math genius, but I pick up concepts pretty quickly, and I find most basic math activities to be really fun. Which is good, because it takes a teacher who really loves math to teach it well.

I'm seriously so busy, though. I'm tired all the time. The classes I'm in, though they're at SPSCC, are NOT entry level or easy classes by far. My Math for Elementary Ed is extremely work-intensive and mentally exhausting, my Earth science class requires a lot of study and memorization, and my Japanese class... well, all language classes are inherently full of work and memorization. This one isn't too hard, but still.

Two more quarters for this stupid AA, and then I'm taking the AA and ALL my practically useless Evergreen credits to UW and seeing what they want to take.

Yeah, Meridan and I are thinking Seattle again. We have some friends moving up there, and I discovered a degree program at UW that I'm really, really interested in. It's early childhood, but it's psychology and biology based - it's basically all about the science of development. It's a BA, and it leads right into the MIT program at UW, so I might just be getting my masters degree before I get to the classroom. We'll see.

Going to try to update more. When schoolwork isn't punching me in the face, you know.

comments
