kumoricon woo.
Jul. 5th, 2009 03:39 pmWell, I just did my first official staff-related thing for Kumoricon. Shortly, hopefully, when you visit the website, the informational blurb you read on the front page will be the blurb I wrote. That's kinda neat. :)
I'm also working on the newsletter, which will be out sometime in August.
The four of us are going to be heading down to Salem, OR this Saturday for the Kumoricon staff meeting. I'm really looking forward to it, since I know some of those people, and I haven't been involved in a convention in over a year now, so I'm itching to get myself back into the planning. And, let's face it, it's slightly less pathetic to go to an anime convention at my age when you're working at it. As Shen and I agreed, we've seen the same things many times over, and we're ready to do something different.
I have an A in my developmental psych class so far. :) I'm pretty proud of myself. I have a B in the early childhood education class, but that's partially because the teacher isn't terribly clear about what she wants. I think I have it figured out now.
Very little else to report, it seems. Still no financial aid - I got a tiny check last Monday, just enough to cover my rent for July, but the rest won't come until next month, and even that will only be enough to cover August and September rent. But Meridan's going to be getting a lot of work in a week, so I'm going to start saving for the con.
