the lowdown
Oct. 3rd, 2010 10:41 amFinn is such a whiner when she wants to go outside and play. The rule with Finn is that she can only go out back onto the porch, the door has to be left partway open, and I have to check on her every few minutes to be sure she doesn't go too far. So when it's cold outside, like today, chances of outside time are low. But that doesn't stop a kitten from trying, after all.
I saw some Evergreen students feeding a big group of raccoons outside by my back porch yesterday. This pisses me off for several reasons. One, I like raccoons, but I don't want them around the cats, because I don't want a fight to happen. Two, feeding wild animals just messes with them and makes people think they're all tame and crap, when they aren't. But do the majority of stupid Greeners realize these things? Of course not.
I've been buying more clothes this week in an attempt to branch out wardrobe-wise. I've avoided women's clothing for years now and stuck to only men's shirts and junk like that. But I've recently become frustrated at how much I look like a teenager as a result. So I'm trying some new stuff. It's hard trying on women's clothing, because the sizing is fucked and it all makes me feel gigantic, but I need to realize that wearing a size Large in women's isn't the biggest deal in the world. I tried some button-down flannel shirts at Old Navy and Target and actually liked a few.
Classes are tough this quarter. I have a math conference in Spokane this weekend - I leave Thursday, come back Saturday. I'm sure it'll be riveting, or whatever. We'll see how Meridan fends for himself for two nights alone. :P
Meridan has an interview at Best Buy on Thursday! Hope it goes well for him. We're desperately looking for a good part-time gig for him to get him out of ACS, and I think this might be it. He has such a flexible schedule.
Still don't miss the cable between Netflix and Hulu. I'm going to give Hulu some money for a paid subscription when they start that whole thing - between that and Netflix, it's only $20.00 total, and there's plenty to watch.
