Jun. 1st, 2007 12:33 amWell, that's the third person now who's said that I seem a lot happier lately. We all know why, don't we? Yes.
I've decided that it's officially fun to butcher songs at karaoke with Shen. I have no problem not being able to remember the tune when I'm singing with her, since all I have to do is announce my confusion into the microphone or make a face and she starts giggling like a mad woman. Then I start laughing. Eventually the song ends. It's all good times.
Going to Shari's after the karaoke, however, was a downright mistake. I'm pretty sure that Shen, Matt & Aleph would give me a 'hell yeah' in response to that statement. So, so very irritating. I thought it was funny, though, when one particularly obnoxious girl pointed to me and said that I looked uncomfortable. It takes so much more than yelling the names of female parts loudly to make me uncomfortable. What she was probably seeing was revulsion. Yep, I'm going to assume that's what it was.
My happy place has robot ponies.
I got a bit too smashed and ended up talking NONSTOP for like, hours. Moreso than usual, even, people. I think at some point I demanded to Matt & Shen that we all go get piercings. They were up for it. I couldn't think of anything to pierce, though. I can't do my face for various reasons (very sensitive skin, possible execution by father and loss of almost-mine car, job as teacher eventually). Guess I'll have to add some to my ears, just to suffer along with them.
I have so many DVDs waiting for me to pick them up at the library right now... A Bit of Fry & Laurie, some more French & Saunders, and Season 4 of Queer As Folk (shut up). It shall be a fabulous shut-in kind of weekend. There may be babysitting Friday or Saturday night, which means an early bedtime for the girls so that I may bask in the digital cable. Ahhh. Then, more pirates Sunday.
