Oh, my word.

Order of the Phoenix = not too damn bad.  I'm not going to rant and rave here, since I did most of that after the movie, and now I'm spent.  But looking at it as a book companion rather than a stand-alone story, it wasn't too damn bad.  AND TONKS & LUNA OH SHIT YES.

And shit, what are you going to do?  The damn book is massive.

So, lesse, my week.  Monday, I babysat for oh-so-long.  There were temper tantrums, and I'm wondering if I'm a bad person for letting the littlest girl scream herself to sleep.  But as I explained to her dad later on, the world was against her and there was nothing I could do.  She needed a nap something fierce, she was beating the shit out of her older sister, and she's been sick for a couple weeks, so she was a cranky pot.  So there you go.

Spent Monday night and all of Tuesday finishing the half-assed Harry Potter costumes with Shen, Matt & Meridan, and it was insanity.  Shen and I ended up holding off on the robes until the book premiere, mainly because after we got our full schoolgirl costumes on, it was apparent that we were both a-fucking-dorable.  We made our actual ties, and Shen did a fabulous job painting them - they looked SO good.  Then, when I curled my hair, everyone went a little crazy.  That was also funny.  I should do that more.

There were very, VERY few people dressed up at the premiere.  We saw one awesome Hagrid, who told me and Shen not to be late for class (hee!), and some generic Hogwarts-y people.  I think one girl I ran into was supposed to be Hermione also, but all she really had going for her was the curly hair.  I had PROPS, people.  Props.  Meridan whittled us (!) wands that look amazing, I had a Crookshanks (or a Kyo, technically), and I made S.P.E.W. stickers.  So much fun!

A photographer from the Olympian took a kabillion pictures of us, and got our names.  We're not on the website, but I haven't bought a paper today, so I don't know if we're in the actual one.

So the infamous Beth has joined us for a short stay, and I have to say, I like her a LOT.  Within five minutes, it was as if she'd been around forever, and I can definitely see what Aleph sees in her.  So fucking cute.  I like seeing embarassed Aleph.  Hee!

Last night when we got home from the movie, we were sitting in Shen's living room - there was Aleph & Beth, Boy Matt, Shen & Girl Matt, Meridan, and myself, and I realized while we were all talking that I was unbelievably happy to be there.  It was just the nicest group ever, and I was so comfortable.  We've all changed so much since we met three years ago.  I can now say that the majority of the change was for the better.  I don't know, I'm rambling with the stupid, but all I know is, it was the perfect end to a really great night.

And soon... oh soon, there will be rock.  Dear god.  We leave for rock shortly.  Then, after rock, there will be karaoke, and more rock.  MORE.  Shit yeah.
