Jan. 2nd, 2009 10:54 amSweet crap, the CLEANING we did yesterday. I woke up this morning, went into the living room and nearly fell over. I went to town on the bathroom, and although it was terrible, yes, it was quite rewarding. That apartment is sparkling, yo.
However, in slightly less awesome news, I am once again lacking a paycheck. This time, I know my timesheet was late, but the damn campus was closed for nearly a week, so I'm calling Not My Fault. Also, Payroll says they haven't gotten my timesheet at ALL, and I know it was in at the beginning of last week, way before Christmas.
And, of course, my boss is MIA. I love my job.
If I didn't have Meridan, I'd be so completely screwed. God.
New Year's was quite nice. The four of us just spent it together, no rampant drunkenness this year. Frankly, I think we were all still kinda drained from Aleph leaving, and it was hard to get into the party mood. We still had a nice time, though.
Yesterday, I made New Year's soba for everyone, and it turned out not half bad! I just discovered this afternoon that I should have diluted the soup base, even though it said to use it straight on the bottle, because I was making hot soba, not cold soba. That accounts for the super-strong saltiness of the broth. It was still tasty, however, and the boys finished what Shen & I couldn't eat. It was really fun doing something like that!
Live and learn. I've got more soba, so there will be more tastiness. Oh, yes.
I still haven't named my new fishie or taken pictures of him, but he's such a happy little fish! He's always looking for food - I think that's because he's so little. He's a hungry dude! Photos to come, I promise.
Man, I'm full of cramps. And hungry, which is odd - that rarely goes together.
