I would very much like to trade in last weekend for a new one. Thanks.
( mom, hospitals, the whole jazz... )
It's just... when you feel like you're about to lose it, you can let that happen, or you can control it temporarily so that you can get through the day. I'm not dumb enough to think that I can squash those feelings permanently, but at least I can wait until I'm in bed and the lights are out and I'm getting snuggles and I have a nice kitty to pet, and then I can let go.
Speaking of kitties... my little fluffball is adorable. She's still skittish as all hell, but she's very adventurous in the room, climbing pretty much everything. She's also eating a TON. I made the mistake of going to Mud Bay to get her first bag of food and litter (free with coupons from the shelter!), and now she's hooked on the good food and the good litter. ^-^ They aren't that expensive, though, and even though I tried to get her to eat a mixed wet/dry food diet, she just way prefers the dry food.
Ravage, on the other hand... I have created a monster. Sorry, Aleph! He has become outright addicted to the canned food, and to make matters worse, he's not eating it instead of dry food... he's eating it ALONG WITH a full portion of dry food. He's, um, gained some weight. I just wanted to make him feel better about Finn, and he's getting a bit better, although she still mostly stays in my room, but the canned food has become his number one love. I'm giving him less now, so hopefully that'll help.
When Meridan and I go to bed at night, Finn comes and lays down on us, alternating between the two to get the most pets possible. I love my kitty so very much. I do not love the smelly litterbox, but I do love my kitty.
