Made my appointment with the financial aid director for the day that grades post. Providing I pass my classes and that there are available funds, I should get my aid back. Huzzah.
Now I need to just, y'know, pass the damn classes. Ai. One more week.
My boss has been using me lately as a gauge to tell whether it's bad allergy weather or not. He'll come up to me and go, "So, I was sneezing a lot this weekend, d'you think it was allergies?" Then, if I had a bad weekend, he can confirm it. What an honor, hm?
Today at work I had a bit of a shining moment - the huge project I've been working on for weeks was finally done. Basically, we had a survey in the library last month, and it was my job to compile all of the data that was coming in and make it into a cohesive document for the library director to use. It took so damn long - there were about 200 surveys, most of them handwritten, and I had to transcribe all the comments and crap. I got so many compliments and thank-yous today, though, that it made it worthwhile. Go, me.
I desperately want to go all Office Space on our copier/printer, though.
I found out today that I can't buy a ticket for Emerald City Comic Con for Ari online anymore. Argh! Now, I either have to figure out which comic book stores still have tickets and hit them up, or wait until the day of and buy one at the door, which I'm trying to avoid. Frustrating.
My mom is still at home from work. She's trying to get her disability and other stuff in order, but in the meantime, I've been giving my folks whatever money I can. I pay for her medicines, and I help her with gas and Ari's lunches and things. It's tough, but you do what you can for family. That's just how it is. I know the money is going to good use, and any pressure I can take off of my father is worth it. He's given me so much money over the years, after all.
I wish I could sleep through the next 2 weeks. Blergh.
