Don't know why I can't pick up the wifi here on campus today, but I can't. So, I might as well work on something offline.
Sitting here, waiting for my financial aid meeting. I got a lot of business done in the meantime - I met with an advisor really briefly to get my major changed since it was still showing as the Early Childhood Education thing, and I discovered that even though I had retaken my English class from way back when, it wouldn't automatically show as a retake on my transcript and that I needed to request it. I filled out the paperwork and they'll process it. So shortly, my transcript will look even better, and my GPA will be all fixed.
Finished my data sheet as well for next year. I figure, even if I can't get anything this year, it'll all be okay by fall.
I'm all full of cold medicine at the moment - it's not very fun. I slept better last night than I did the night before, but I kicked Finn out sometime around 1 in the morning, shutting the bedroom door, and when Meridan and I woke up at 8 this morning the door was open. I knew she'd figure out how to open doors - she already does that kind of shit with cabinets. Our door handles aren't knobs, they're levers, meaning if you just jump up and pull down, the door will pop open.
I will never get another decent night's sleep again.
UPDATE: Huzzah! Joy! Excitement! Financial aid is back, life is sweet. There is no more loan money for the school, as I assumed, but I'm getting my full Pell grant, which is enough for my tuition, books and to finally, finally take care of the car stuff.
Anyways. Check will be available at the end of next week.
And - I got my work schedule for the quarter, and it's exactly what I wanted. The two people that I have major issues working with are still working in the mornings, but now, I get afternoons! Yay! So, classes from 11 to 2, then work from 2:15 to 7:15, which works out perfectly for Meridan to pick me up from work - he usually gets home around 7.
I admit, I'll miss my afternoons alone a little bit. Only a little.
I can't wait for him to call me on his lunch at 2. He's been so worried about money this week, and I really want to give him the good news.
I decided to stop at Vic's for a celebratory piece of pizza, which is where I'm writing this from. However, my cold has now caught up with me, and I'm starting to fade fast. I got some Tylenol cold junk last night, so I'm at least functional, and I managed to not sneeze all over the financial aid people, but now I would like to put my jammies back on, at least for a little bit.
