Oct. 1st, 2010 02:19 pmFinancial aid offices can suck my left titty. All of them.
The cable box/DVR is gone. Sigh. They stopped paying for the bulk basic cable account at my apartment complex, so we either had to tack more money onto our bill, making it well over $100 a month for everything, or just let the cable go and stick to good phone service and great internet service. In my investigations as to how dumping the cable would work, I found that the majority of the shows I like are on Hulu or other streaming sites, so I won't miss much.
Speaking of television, I've been keeping up with the new fall shows, and Meridan and I have fallen in love with Raising Hope. It's hilarious, mainly because of the actors. I suggest you give it a try.
I attempted to watch Outsourced, but lost interest halfway through. It feels too much like poking fun at Indians, and the main American character is a bit of a non-entity, generic white male. Blah.
As soon as there's a way to successfully read my LJ friends list on Dreamwidth, I'm gone for good. I fucking hate the popover ads and the site integration and just about everything about LJ now, and that makes me sad. But I still go back to read your damn journals, so I can't stay away. :P
I love my new computer to pieces, but the keyboard kinda sucks balls. Suggestions for a good brand or model of USB keyboard are welcomed.
Meridan bought me a surprise yesterday - a new GPS system for the car! I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Anyone who knows me knows I am NOTORIOUS for getting lost wherever I drive, and I have badly needed something like this for a long time. It's a little Garmin Nuvi, very good price at Costco.
