Jul. 21st, 2004 07:24 pmI think, perhaps, that I am turning inside out.
I applied a couple of weeks ago for, yes, yet another library page job. I did get a tiny bit of good news about it (apparently, the circulation supervisor at this branch asked my mother, who volunteers there, if she had applied for that job and if she'd changed her first name. conclusion - she has seen my name somewhere). I'm not going to get that excited, though. I don't have the energy.
You know what? This fucking optimism shit is just going out the window. I hate my job. I HATE MY MOTHERFUCKING JOB. Yes. I despise it. There is nothing good about it. All is hell.
Hm. I feel a little better now.
Anyway. I am making monies. And that is all.
I wish I could draw better. The very dear blue-haired friend of mine from Livebridge, who draws wonderfully, and I discussed doing an online comic about the insanity of our job. I never really considered it an option before, because I can't draw. However, she can. And, as a bonus, she seems to think that what I write is hilarious. So, there you go. Maybe you'll all see something in the future.
For now, I spend my non-work time doing partly geeky things like giggling at Megatokyo and reading borrowed manga, and partly prissy things like buying more handbags and doing facial peels. I am an odd mixture, my friends.
