Otaku! Pay attention!

Attention, all anime nerds.

March 24-26th is the weekend of Sakura-con. It's in Seattle, Washington, and it is truly one of the most ginormous anime conventions on the West Coast. A couple of my friends and I already have a room booked for the weekend at the Hilton by the Convention Center. Amazingly enough, this was the cheapest room we could find. (WTF?) However, it's still $125.00 a night.

As we all know, the more people in the room, the cheaper the room. And the cheaper the room, the more doujinshi can come home with us. And it's not like beds matter... no one ever sleeps anyway.

This is an open invitation to everyone on my friends list to come to Seattle in March and join us. I know most of you in real life, and frankly, none of you are crazier than Aleph. He beats you hands down. And I've had an Aleph sleeping on my couch many a night. So none of you bastards scare me.

We'll be cosplaying, but you don't have to. If you already have costumes, just bring those along, or if you want any ideas, I can help you out once I know what we're all doing for sure.

It is amazing to me that a woman in her late 40s is not old enough yet to realize that she shouldn't be screaming on the phone to her friend about how her boss won't let her have 4 hours of leave on one particular day. I mean, particular issue notwithstanding - don't complain about your supervisor at work, especially not so loud. This woman is the only one in the office I don't especially like. She's so fucking whiny, and unlike Shen, she doesn't have cuteness on her side to validate it.

The Native American arts fair is going on today at the Longhouse. I took only a $5.00 bill to prevent myself from going crazy, and I'm glad I did. I could have gone broke in there. But I did find a really pretty pair of blue opal earring studs for only 4 bucks. So, go me.

Might go to Shari's tonight. Not sure. Matt, Lord Among Southerners, you should call my house phone later tonight if you're going, and maybe I'll catch a ride from you.

It's been a busy week. I'm glad to see it over. I get paid next Thursday, and if the Paternal Coercion Seminar goes well tonight, I should have my father willing to order my phone this weekend. Rawk. That'll make my life a little easier.
