All is well now with Ari.  Field Day will happen for him tomorrow, because my mom went to the school and dragged me along.  We sorted it all out.  Still don't care for his teachers, and I firmly believe he was singled out, mainly because the principal immediately threw that condition his math teacher set on him out the window the minute we mentioned it.

My dog is running in her sleep again.  Heehee.

Well, the parade of birthdays is about to hit.  Starts in June and doesn't end until mine way at the end of August.  I only want two things for my birthday this year.  I've already assigned my father to the task of finding me a good digital camera (here's hoping he'll remember in two months), but the only other thing I really want is one of these kits.  I found out about them when I was doing some research on the Boye Needlemaster set (isn't that the funniest name ever?), and I wantwantwant them.  I've never been good enough at knitting to warrant purchasing something so expensive, but I do all my knitting on circulars and I think these would be perfect.  Want.

Karaoke was quite successful last night.  Shen and I did very silly but okay renditions of Material Girl and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, but we decided to do a third song in a much lower range - crazy-ass sopranos.  Therefore, we sang the hell out of some Melissa Etheridge, and it was badass.  

Then, of course, there was SUPER CHALLENGE SONG TIME for Aleph.  I have a feeling this is going to become a regular karaoke moment for us, since Shen and I were so very pleased with ourselves for our selection.  Basically, Aleph gave us permission to pick any song from the books at random and turn it in under his name.  He had no idea what song we'd picked until he got up on stage and was attacked by the opening bars of... Van Halen's Hot For Teacher.  Awww yeah.  It was also badass.

There was much badasstitude.  Yes.

I checked out My Secret Garden from the library today, so I'm going to go now and read other women's dirty sexual fantasies.  They're awesome.
