Man, I wish I wasn't at work. I could seriously use some sleep right about now.
I did have quite the successful day, though. After waiting two hours at the Planned Parenthood for a two-minute appointment, I went through all my Ortho Tri-Cyclen issues and was told that I shouldn't be having periods at all if I can help it. I've always resisted the whole continuous birth control thing, because I feel as if I'm supposed to have a period, like I'm messing with my body too much by skipping it. However, it's to the point now where I'm unable to leave my bed for several days a month, and I don't think it's normal or natural to put up with that kind of pain.
The clinic switched me to Ortho-Cyclen, which is just the monophasic version of Ortho Tri-Cyclen. Considering how well I did on the Nuvaring in terms of pain, I think I should have stuck to monophasic in the first place. The ups and downs of the estrogen in the triphasic pill is absolutely killing me, and the withdrawal symptoms my body goes through when I have to take a break week are INSANE.
Anywho. I'm optimistic. Which is impressive, considering that I also discovered today that in the last three months on the Ortho Tri-Cyclen, I have GAINED FIFTEEN POUNDS.
I am trying to be calm and reasonable about the whole thing. As Meridan rightly pointed out, a good amount of that weight was definitely gained in my boobs. I mean, I did go up an entire fucking cup size. Silver linings, I suppose. However, I'm going to have to get to that gym far more often.
I now have a million more pills and several million condoms. Man, they love loading you up there.
Nearly a-going home time. Need sleep.
