things and stuff
Dec. 2nd, 2009 06:09 pmFuck YES.
Meridan and I went out this morning for a bit, and we stopped by the Goodwill to look at TVs for my little brother. While we were wandering up and down the textbook shelves, I found the algebra textbook that I need for next quarter for only $4.00! It's the 4th edition instead of the 5th, which is the most current, but I really doubt that's gonna matter, and my class is online anyways, so my professor isn't gonna care.
Yay! I just saved over $100!
They also had lots of different editions of my psych textbook, but the most recent one we could find was from 2000, and I wasn't sure whether I wanted to risk getting a 10 year old book for something like psychology which changes so frequently. My professor is the same one I had in the summer for developmental psych, and I know he wouldn't mind, but I'd like to try and find something a bit newer. But now that I know stuff like that is there, I'm going to keep an eye out for sure! :)
Things I Currently Adore:
- my electric heater. SO AWESOME.
- the fact that I cleaned one of the worst parts of my room yesterday.
- it's Wednesday, which means it's Meridan's Friday, which means a whole weekend together!
Anywho.
Meridan and I have been throwing around ideas for where to move when we get our own place in August or September, and shockingly enough, we're actually considering coming back to the Glen. I know, we're batshit. But the two major factors are rent under $600, which is really tough to find in Olympia for a 1 bedroom, and hardwood floors. Our allergies have been getting so bad, and they're a major factor in Meridan's snoring, so I know the hardwood floors would help a bunch.
He spoke to the landlord today, and she apparently seemed pleased about his asking, which is fucking shocking. And, well, the devil you know... right? Meridan might be doing an internship back on campus next year anyways, so he'd do much better being close to Evergreen.
Oh, and I didn't even think of this, but not only would they obviously be okay with our cats, but Ravage could go back to going outside during the day like he does now. He'd be much happier.
I had my first good night's sleep last night in weeks. And I'm still tired. Yeesh. :P
