laugh it up, fuzzball
Sep. 1st, 2010 08:04 pmSitting outside on the porch. A-yup.
Finn is on one of her explorations outside, and since I'm an overprotective mommy who can't let her kitty out of her sight, I'm out here with her. Fall seems to be here now for the most part - the rain is back, the leaves are beginning to turn. All I can say is... poop on that.
I turned 28 last week. It was relatively uneventful.
Meridan and I have set our sights south instead of north at the moment. He's a bit more interested in OHSU than UW right now, and when I told him I'd rather go to WSU Vancouver for my teaching degree, he thought that sounded dandy. So right now I'm planning on putting my graduation stuff into SPSCC, sending my app off to WSU in the fall, and starting up down there in August. I have a few more pre-reqs, so I won't be in the teaching program immediately, but it should only take one semester.
I'm happy, honestly. I feel better going to a proper school than just a satellite program at a community college. And rents are far cheaper in Vancouver than they are in Seattle. And I think it'll be a fun adventure.
We just found out that Meridan's brother, the Orthodox Jewish one who just got married at the end of May, has already managed to get his wife pregnant. Apparently, the men in this family are terrifyingly fertile, and I plan on using three or four extra condoms from now on.
I'm excited to be an aunt, though. And I've already got plans for the baby blanket. I just need to go buy the yarn. Thinking on that, maybe I should go tonight. Yes.
