a monster has been unleashed.
Mar. 31st, 2007 02:14 amOh, dear. I sat down to print out the T-shirt transfers for Shen's cosplay shirt, and realized that I've only got dark shirt transfers, which are a bit different than regular iron-ons. They take a bit longer to do - but they're actually a lot cooler.
Instead of a flipped design, you print your design out normally on this paper. You then cut out anything you want to iron on. For these shirts, that's what's going to take a bit longer, since each letter has to be cut out individually. But, because of the lower image quality, it's actually going to look better, since we can smooth out the blurred edges that came from enlarging the photo.
You iron the stuff with a piece of transfer paper over the top, and then peel it off when it goes cool. This way, it's almost exactly like painting the fabric. So, because I'm loopy and there was a piece of paper left in the package after I finished printing everything else, I printed a sheet of these out. You can take a Sharpie and write right on the transfers before you iron them, I discovered. Now... now, I cannot be stopped.
I've got five more packages of these transfer things.
Again... oh, dear.
