Man, it's amazing what a slip-stitch crochet edging will do to a knitted piece. An hour ago, I hated the hell out of this dice bag I'd just knitted. Now, it looks ten times better. I still hate it, but less and less each time I look at it.
I think I've settled on a pattern, although I'm not a fan of the SKP decrease at all. Think I'll make another with K2TOG and see how that looks. It's not like it matters which way the decreases lean, since they're just going around in a circle.
Terrible ladders with this last one I knit though, because of the DPNs. I've NEVER had that kind of trouble with laddering before. I think it might be because I've never knit with cotton on DPNs before, and I was having a hell of a time tensioning the yarn right. It would not cooperate. I think going down to a smaller size DPN will help.
I decided that if a store does end up letting me sell these bags with them, I'm going to get those KnitPicks Options needles come hell or highwater before I start making them en masse. Then I can just Magic Loop and not worry about the damn DPNs. Although, they are amusing to use in public. My millions of needle points sticking out everywhere is frightening to many people.
I'm hungry.
