Compared to the utter crappiness of Tuesday, I have had like, the best past 24 hours ever. Amazing how things can change so rapidly.
So, Tuesday evening, after attempting to get into a class that I had been wanting to take for months and failing miserably (SO MANY people showed up, eesh), I was completely depressed. Didn't know what to take, figured it was too late to get into any decent classes, I was miserable. While frantically searching to see if maybe there was something decent left open, I came across a course that was not only 8 credits like I wanted, but it had over 10 spots open, it started on Wednesday, meaning that I hadn't missed a class day yet, and it had an art/theatre study component.
I showed up, got in immediately, and I'm so glad I did. It's a very odd class, mixing physics and theatre in a way that kinda breaks my brain, but I really love the book list and the professors are super nice. Plus, Mark, the theatre professor, was going over the plays and books that the class studied already last quarter, and I've studied them ALL. I don't even feel behind!
I got all registered today, and even though the tuition is ridiculously high, I have an emergency loan form turned in, so that should at least put off the hounds for a couple months.
As a super-fun added bonus, I took what initially would have been a $125.00 book list and got it down to $45.00 by buying all used and jumping on the local library website last night to put the rest on hold. I AM THE WIN.
My poor darling boy, on the other hand, has had a rough week full of work. We're both very glad he's getting so much work, but I know he's tired. He was not a happy camper this morning. Plus, it's his BIRTHDAY today! But after work, I have promised him cake and dinner and we're taking him bowling, which has thrilled him.
Saturday, the four of us are heading to Emerald City Comic Con for the second year. Shen is being sweet enough to help Meridan and I get into the con, and let's be honest, I'm mainly going to SEE WIL WHEATON AGAIN OMG.
Ooof, my neck hurts. And I'm super sleepy. I think I'll head home soonish.
