Um, wow. It is COLD here. We in Washington do not handle weather in the twenties, oh no.
I'm really glad that I'm down to only paying two credit card bills, but I have to admit, the utilities are creating an even bigger strain on our bank account than the credit cards ever did. Ugh. But I don't feel like talking about it. The heat has to be on, and we have to get by somehow. I couldn't very well not buy Christmas presents.
I went to the produce stand this morning and succumbed to a small carton of strawberries. They aren't in season, and they taste a bit weird, but I just don't care. I desperately needed something to make me think of warmer times, and they did help. My way to drink water this week includes a splash of Lemon Ginger Echinacea juice from Trader Joe's and a whole strawberry plonked in the glass to make me happy. :)
Money woes aside, I'm feeling pretty cozy today. I'm working on my ripple blanket, crocheting away, and reading blogs, and enjoying my last few weeks before school work and the library begin to suck up all the rest of my time.
