Mar. 15th, 2010 11:28 amEmerald City = a blast. I had a super good time, so did Meridan, and so did Ari. The highlight of my Saturday was going to Wil Wheaton's panel, laughing my ass off, and looking over to Ari to see him laughing as well. I wasn't sure if he'd enjoy the con or not, and when I mentioned something about sitting for an hour at a panel, his eyes glazed over and I figured he was a lost cause. But he really liked Wil, and he got to get his picture taken with stormtroopers, so he was good to go.
And Wil's reading this year? AWESOME. I've heard him read that Blue Light Special story several times now, and I never get tired of it. He always adds something new, and it's such an accessible story - anyone, nerd or not, can relate to it.
Next up - w00tstock in May. Good times.
Also, yesterday morning, Meridan and I dragged ourselves into the Gamestop to get Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver. So it's been a bitching weekend all around. And the Pokewalker? Best. Invention. Ever. We've already been walking more just because it's a pedometer that is also a game.
I'm going to have to spend the next 2 weeks very much on the down low as far as money is concerned. But it was all worth it.
And I have several reasons to stay home this week and the next anyways - it's Week 10. That means I'm scrambling to finish two papers this week, one due Wednesday, the other due Friday, and I need to finish up the last bit of psychology homework and then start putting together my notes for my algebra final.
I should do some work, I guess. Since I'm AT work. Boo.
