So, I had an appointment with the head of my department here at school this morning. I wanted to find out about switching out one of my already earned history credits for one that's required for my degree.
Basically, I walked in, showed her what I wanted, and her condensed response was, "Well, I'm not sure about that, but let's plan the entire rest of your class schedules until you graduate. Give me your transcript. I'm your advisor now."
:)
She was fantastic, and I now have a full plan through next spring that will get me my degree without any 20 credit quarters. Best of all, I'm going to take a class with her this summer on diversity in the classroom which she has arranged to only take 5 weeks instead of the full 8 or 9! Yay! So, this summer will be Public Speaking, Educating Children in a Diverse Society, and a biology class.
My program at Western, if I get in (and if Meridan gets into UW), will be a 3 year program, year round. That means 12 quarters in a row. However, the last 3 quarters are student teaching quarters, so I wouldn't really have any classes, per se. But it's still pretty hardcore. And in this particular program, nearly 100% of graduates are employed as teachers for the school year after they graduate. I like those odds.
I forgot my phone today, and I'm super annoyed with myself because of it. Now I can't call Meridan unless I go to the library to use my work phone, and seeing as how I have to work for 4 hours tonight, I'm trying to avoid spending any extra time there.
Ugh, it's math class time. Stupid polynomials.
