I have come to terms with the fact that some people enjoyed the new Indiana Jones.  It cannot be helped.  There are bad movies out there that I liked, too.  So, I have decided officially not to judge.

Judge out loud, at least.

My mp3 player is taking too long to arrive.  I have decided this, even though it's apparently already waiting to be shipped, which means it will probably arrive within the week.  And I just ordered it on Saturday.  Still, too long!

The excitement of the weekend and now my mother's subsequent absence for yet another week (yes, she is going to work after being in the hospital all weekend, it cannot be helped, she is an absolute IDIOT) means that I will be out of money very, very shortly.  Feeding Ari is expensive.  However, I can count on my father to slip me some cash if I ask for it, which means I will not be poor for too long.  This is good.

Omigod, I just realized what I can do while I'm waiting for my mp3 player.  I will knit a cozy for it.  YES.  THIS WILL BE DONE.

Also, sharing an Overdrive account with my mother is the most frustrating thing in the universe, because every time I want to download a book, she's got the stupid bookbag filled with her crap books.  I know she's got a 60 gig mp3 player that, according to her, absolutely must be packed full with horrible contemporary romance novels at all times, but all I ask is room for one book at a time.  How she can bounce around from book to book, I don't know.

I had a moment of panic earlier when I realized that the specs on the player didn't specifically mention supporting protected WMAs like Overdrive has, but I went straight to the Overdrive site and it was listed as a compatible player.  Phew.

I know I'm babbling on and on about this thing, but it was just so frustrating having an iPod and it refusing to play protected WMAs.  I never thought I'd ever enjoy audiobooks until I started knitting.  I went so crazy wanting to read books while I was knitting that I taught myself how to knit without looking, but it only leads to counting mistakes and dropped stitches, so audiobooks are the way to go.
