freakout

Simply terrifying.

So far, this LJ Idol thing is scary beyond belief. But I'm already glad for it. Even if this is the only week I get to write something, and I'm canned the next, it was worth it. I finally started writing shit down.

My fiction is really rusty. I tend to ramble, and because I've only written dialogue for so long, my prose is either SUPER descriptive or totally abrupt. Aaagh. I hope it'll get better.

Anyways. If you feel like you liked what you read in my entry, you can vote for me here. Even if you don't want to vote for me, go through some of those entries. You won't regret it - there's wonderful stuff in there that makes my silly little drabble pale in comparison.

I probably won't write a lot of fiction. I made myself do it this week because I knew if I didn't get started with it, I'd never try. But I'm sure the majority of what I come up with will be those goofy little life vignettes that seem to entertain you all. So yay.

It's been a long, long week. Meridan just started his Best Buy job - he loves it. I bought a Christmas tree - it's fake and cheap, but it's a proper sized one and it's mine. We're going to have a menorah as well, and I'd like to have a Star of David for the top of the tree. Yeah, we're all about the Chrismukkah up in here.

Ari is over tonight, and the three of us just watched the Professor Layton movie. AWESOME.

I am so ready to be done with this stupid AA. Just two more quarters. Two more.

Meridan and I are getting aquainted with mornings now. He's usually at the warehouse super early, and I'm switching to 7am shifts next quarter. It's my favorite way of dealing with winter. If you get everything done early, you get plenty of daylight afterwards.
